My passion for graphic design began in high school, when I enrolled in classes such as yearbook, journalism, and digital arts. These subjects allowed me to experiment with graphic design for print, digital and personal use. In college, I joined my school's chapter of Students Helping Honduras, a nonprofit created to provide employment and education in rural Honduras. Within our chapter, I was elected as the Media and Marketing chair where I was able to further expand my knowledge and expertise of graphic design and marketing. Outside of school, I worked at a local restaurant as a hostess. During slower shifts, I began designing chalkboard displays to advertise daily specials and weekly events. Although my time as a hostess has ended, I still frequently return to the restaurant to update chalkboard displays.
